Contractor Relations
Becoming a signatory contractor with the New England Regional Council involves more than just signing some legal documents and calling the hall for manpower. It means building a relationship that benefits your company and your clients. The more successful you are and the more work you win, the more our members--your workers--benefit.

- Teach you how the New England Council and the regional contract can make your business a success.
- Develop or improve relationships with Council Representatives at all NERCC Locals so you can expand your business to new areas of New England.
- Help you understand monthly remittance reports for benefits.
- Let you know about projects you may be interested in bidding.
- Find subcontractors to bid on your jobs (even for specialty work).
- Bid competitively by reducing or eliminating the "x-factor."
- Provide state-of-the-art skills training for your workers.
- Provide safety training and literature for your workers and supervisors.
The purpose of our Contractor Relations Department is to answer your questions. They will walk you through the details of the collective bargaining agreement, explain responsibilities of the union and a signatory contractor, review any paperwork that needs to be completed and explain both the geographic and work jurisdiction of the carpenters union.
We encourage you to ask some of our union contractors about their experience with the New England Regional Council of Carpenters. We're sure one of our 1,300 active contractors would be happy to answer any of your questions.
