Q: What kind of training does the union offer?

A: For people interested who lack formal training in the trades, we offer an extensive apprenticeship training program in state-of-the-art facilities. Apprentices are required to complete 2 weeks of classes every 6 months for 4 years. They receive both classroom and hands-on training that covers all aspects of the trade.

We also offer journeyman upgrade classes for our members - free of charge! Classes offered range from the OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour training, to Erecting Scaffolding, to Blue Print Reading, to a preparation course for the Massachusetts Supers license, and many more.
